Bookman’s Alley in Evanston. I found it way too late and now it’s closing this Spring. It’s in an alley behind a flower shop. You can get lost in here. Literally. It goes on and on and on. The owner doesn’t seem to do anything besides sit behind a huge pile of books waiting to be processed and read, occasionally chatting with customers. I could think of worse ways to spend my latter days.
